Diane loves living life with a rare, beautiful, contagious enthusiasm! She lights up the world with her loving smile, and lives her life in a joyful dance! After coming from an existence with very little desire to live, Diane's life has opened wide a world to me that I never dreamed existed here on earth! She embodies what Jesus died to give us, "...My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (John 10:10 NLT)
You know the feeling you get when you hear the deep, tender passion of a musician playing their love song? With that same passion, Diane plays the keyboard and sings to the Lover of her soul. She gives back to Him all that He has given her in the gift of music! When you join her in worship, you leave earth behind...
Have you ever watched someone turn inside out over the joy of seeing a beautiful and fragrant flower? One morning, Diane pulled back the curtains in her living room and gasped at the view of the mountains before her. As I watched her almost jump up and down in child-like exhilaration, I smiled and said, "God must sure love watching you enjoy what He has made!" Diane possesses a truly genuine appreciation for the wonder of every finite detail in God's creation.
Diane loves people! Remember the last time you saw someone run to greet a loved one, and almost leap into their arms? That is how Diane might greet you if you were to walk through the door of the church she and her husband shepherd. Diane has the ability to make you feel like you are the only person on earth when you are with her! She can talk you into doing absolutely anything that your heart truly desires! How she cherishes virtue! She magnifies and celebrates the gifts, talents and pureness of heart in people! One day I asked her daughter, "What has your mom given you that is most valuable to you today?" She answered, "The belief that I am good enough as myself."
When you need a safe, quiet oasis to be understood, heard and comforted, Diane will enfold you in her heart and arms. I have celebrated in magnanimous heights with Diane, and wept during the deepest grief in her arms. Like very few others, Diane knows how to, "Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep." Romans 12:15 NLT
Many have come to Diane for counsel and have commented that they have never forgotten what she had told them. In each phase of life, her desire for wisdom and need for answers to life's questions caused her to pray and trust God. There wasn't always a model or mentor to inquire of when she needed one, so she often felt like she was pioneering the path to learning how to be a whole and healthy person, wife, mother, friend. Through many difficult situations, Diane sought God's wisdom and heart, allowing her to find His unfathomable, powerful love over and over again. Her experience has proven that all of His promises are true. As a result, Diane has developed a message of hope, simplicity and depth that she longs to share with others.
Diane's desire is to communicate God's love, encouragement and hope to women no matter what they're facing, no matter their age, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey.
She enjoys watercolor painting and quilting, in addition to writing and music. Diane aspires to create beauty in all that she is and all that she does!
Diane was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. She is the wife and ministry partner with Pastor Jeff Nelson at Redeeming Life Fellowship. She lives in Sequim, Washington with her husband, and 4 of their 6 children.
